-  DAY 1 (14th Nov 2010 – Sunday)  : Arrival Delhi

A warm welcome at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. You will be received at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands. On arrival at your hotel, you will be greeted with the traditional “AARTI” ritual in which the sacred fire is invoked to bless you a great trip. As a part of the Arti, a red “TIKKA”, also known as the vermilion mark, is applied on the forehead.  While you enjoy your welcome drink in the lounge, your room keys would be handed over to you.

-  DAY 2 (15th Nov 2010 – Monday)  :  Delhi

0730 - 0830 Hrs: Breakfast

0845 - 1230 Hrs: After breakfast proceed for a  city tour – A brief introduction by tour guide on handy travel tips, cultural norms, safety, do's & dont's etc. ( prior to the departure of tour)

Drive Past Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidents House), India Gate, Parliament House, Laxmi Narayan Temple. Visit the famous “Bangla Sahib”, Sikh religious centre at the heart of the city. Here shoes are not allowed inside the sanctum and one need to cover their head. The daily activities at the Shrine are all managed by volunteers (Sewaks) right from arranging shoe racks, cleaning of white marble floors, cooking of prasad (Offering for devotees) made of semolina seeds. The Shrine offers free meals prepared by volunteers and offered through out the day to rich and poor.

                              

1300-1400 Hrs: Lunch at a City Restaurant

1430 Hrs: Return to Hotel for short rest & freshen up

1600 Hrs: Coaches depart for ‘A Village Retreat’ (Gurgaon) the venue for WATA 60th   Anniversary celebration.
1730 Hrs: Arrival at AVR – Welcome drinks and Snacks

1800 - 1930 Hrs:  Opening Ceremony of General Assembly

1930 Hrs onwards: Cocktails, entertainments & Special Dinner

2200 Hrs: Coaches depart for hotel.
2300 Hrs : Back in hotel

 

-  DAY 3 (16th Nov 2010 – Tuesday) :  Delhi

0730 - 0900 Hrs: Breakfast

0930 Hrs: Coaches leave for 'India Habitat Center'

1030 -- 1100 Hrs: Networking & Tea/Coffee

1105 – 1330 Hrs: Road Show (Buyer-seller meetings)

1335 – 1430 Hrs: Lunch

1435 – 1540 Hrs: General Assembly Session , followed by closing ceremony

1600 Hrs: Leave for tour of Old Delhi:

The old Delhi often referred as ‘Walled City’ bears the testimony of Mughal Raj in Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid (Mosque), drive through the fabled city, Chandni Chowk, Red Fort and Raj Ghat

1930  Dinner at city restaurant 
Return to hotel

DAY 4 (17th Nov 2010 – Wednesday) : Delhi to Agra

0800 Hrs: After an early breakfast proceed to Agra by coaches (204 Kms/appx. 5 hrs drive)

1300 Hrs: Arrive Agra & check into Hotel.
1330 - 1430 Hrs: Lunch

1530 – Proceed for visit to Taj Mahal. 

TAJ MAHAL – A TRIBUTE TO BEAUTY
An immense mausoleum of white marble, built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.

2000 Hrs: Dinner at Hotel.
 

 

DAY 5 (18th Nov 2010 – Thursday) : Agra - Delhi to Mumbai

0730 Hrs: Morning after an early breakfast drive down (204 kms) to Delhi domestic airport to take the flight to Mumbai (Dep. - Arr.) 
(Lunch provided enroute at a motel)

Welcome at 'Chatrapati Shivaji' domestic airport and transfer provided to hotel.

2000 Hrs. - Dinner at hotel

-  DAY 6 (19h Nov 2010 – Friday) : Mumbai

0730 - 0930 Hrs: Breakfast

1030 -1100 Hrs: Networking & Tea/Coffee
1105 – 1330 Hrs: Road Show (Buyer-seller meetings)

1335 – 1415 Hrs: Lunch

1445 – Leave for a city tour:

Visit Hanging Garden - It was built early in the 1880's, over Mumbai's main reservoir. It is often said that these gardens were made with the purpose to cover the wayer from the contaminating activities of the nearby Towers of silence. Photo stop at Gateway of India – Built as triumphal arch to commemorate the visit of King George V & Queen Mary, complete with four turrets and intricate latticework carved into the yellow desert stone. Ironically at the time of Indian independence the last British ships that set sail for England, left from the Gateway. Colaba- Traditionally been a shoppers' haven. Causeway shopping is supposed to be the best. Shopping in Colaba is an exciting experience. Here, while shopping one can rub shoulders with Mumbai’s elite. Colaba is one-stop shops where you can get anything you desire to buy.

-  Day 7 (20th Nov 2010 – Saturday) : Mumbai - Back home

0800 Hrs: Morning after breakfast proceeds to Gateway of India to take a ferry for 'Elephanta Caves'. The journey takes 1 hour to reach the island by sea and then there is a small train to take you from the dockside to the entrance of the caves. 

The Elephanta Caves date back to 600 AD, the cave complex is a collection of shrines, courtyards, inner cells, grand halls and porticos arranged in the splendid symmetry of Indian rock-cut architecture, and filled with exquisite stone sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It is situated on Gharapuri Island in Mumbai's harbour,  At the entrance to the caves is the famous Trimurti, the celebrated trinity of Elephanta : there's Lord Brahma the Creator, Lord Vishnu, the preserver and Lord Shiva the Destroyer Unfortunately, many of the sculptures inside have been damaged by iconoclastic Portuguese rulers who took potshots at Hindu Gods with their rifles.

Post lunch (at a local restaurant) return to hotel.
(We would request the hotel to extend check-out (if possible) at least till 1500 hrs / else, the standard check-out time is 1200 Hrs).  

Transfer to International airport and our representatives will provide assistance for check-in.
